Election Officials (Poll Workers) Wanted

The City of Stevens Point is accepting applications from people interested in serving their community as poll workers. We anticipate high voter participation this fall and need to hire more poll workers to make sure the polling places run efficiently.

Recent changes in election law removed municipal residency requirements for poll workers. Now you can be a poll worker in any municipality within the county where you reside.

Attributes to be an effective poll worker are strong organization and communication skills, patience, willingness to assist others, and the ability to problem solve.

This is an opportunity to show your patriotism while fulfilling a vital community need.

The City of Stevens Point pays poll workers $10/hour and provides paid training.

New poll workers will have an introduction training and training before each election that they work.

Anyone interested should contact John Moe, City Clerk, at 715-346-1572 for more information.
