2008 Residential Housing Sales Figures Available
If you wonder what your house is worth,
or you want to find out what the house down the street sold for, or if you wonder if your home's assessment is
fair and equitable compared to recent sales, or you are an appraiser looking for comparables, the Assessor's Office
has posted the First Quarter 2008 Residential Sales spreadsheet that provides the information you need.

Attention Commercial Property Owners
In order to arrive at an equitable assessed
valuation for commercial property, please feel free to submit an income and expense questionnaire that may apply
to the valuation your business. If detailed operating statements for the past three years showing the annual gross
rent and all other income of the property together with itemized operating expenses for each year are provided,
they will be used to arrive at your assessment. Any information you forward to the Assessor's Office will be treated
in strictest confidence and will not be made part of any record available to the public without your or your agent's
express consent.

The Assessor's office provides for fair and equitable property assessments and accurate
and timely property information for all properties in the City of Stevens Point. To accomplish this mission, the
City Assessor's Office uses assessment methods in accordance with the Wisconsin Property Assessment Manual, Wisconsin
State Statutes, specifically Chapter 70

appraisal practices.
Detailed Property Assessment information can be found on the Public Access Terminal located in the lobby of the
Assessor's Office in City Hall. This information is not currently available on the Internet.
The last revaluation of Stevens Point occurred in 2003. The next City-wide revaluaton will start in the summer
of 2008. Values will be adjusted for calendar year 2009.
All Staff in the Assessor's office are certified by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. |
