Mike Phillips has served on the Common Council over 13 years. He was first elected in 1995.
Mike is currently President of the Council, Chairman of the Personnel Committee, and serves on the Finance Committee.
He has served as the City's representative on the Portage County EMS Oversight Committee, and as a member of Stevens Point Redevelopment Authority.
Alderman Phillips has been involved in several major City projects, including the deer culling program, southside reconstruction, boundary adjustment and agreement with Plover, the new commerce center, and the Hoover overpass project.
Mike's goal is to make responsible decisions that represent the interests and preferences of the residents of his district while being mindful of the needs of the business community throughout the City.
Mike is retired, and his hobbies include fishing, gardening, boating, golfing, and spending time with his wife, Sue, and his six grandchildren.
