2005 Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest Winners
October was National Fire Prevention Month. During this month, the Stevens Point Fire Department invited students to use their artistic abilities to spread the fire prevention message by entering our Fire Prevention Poster Contest. This year the theme was "Use Candles with Care!" The posters were judged on artistic ability and, more importantly, on how well the poster presented the fire prevention theme for this year. The winners were honored with a pizza party at the Stevens Point Fire Department Station One on October 21. The students were invited to ride to and from the party in the fire truck. The Stevens Point Fire Department was delighted by this year's participation!
