For the Elderly
at Hi-Rise Manor, 1300 Briggs Court, and Edgewater
Manor, 1450 Water Street.
Highlights:
- Both buildings are newly remolded. Sunspaces provide
year round comfort.
- Near downtown and on city bus route.
- Edgewater Manor is located a half block from Lincoln
Center on the Wisconsin River and the Green Circle Trail.
- Department on Aging provides weekly shopping bus.
- Utilities included, on-site laundry.
- Monthly & seasonal activities for residents.
- On-Site services from the Public Library, Post
Office, and the Department on Aging.
- Hi-Rise Manor is a Department on Aging Noon Meal
Site, providing nutritious meals five days a week.

at Scattered Site Family Units in the City of
Stevens Point, and at Madison View Apartments, 601-741 John's Drive.

Special Services:
Head Start Pre-school Program is available on-site at Madison View Apartments. Homework Center (Winner
of the J.C. Penny Golden Rule Award for Education, 1995 & 97) is located in the Madison View Family Center,
the Homework Center provides volunteer tutors to help students with homework or basic skills. Monthly & Seasonal Activities are
available for residents of Hi-Rise & Edgewater Manors. For example: walking clubs, musical recitals, monthly
birthday parties. Resident Advisory Groups
represent all residents, presenting their
views and opinions to the Housing Authority. Residents are encouraged to attend Board meetings and serve on task
forces at the Housing Authority.
