Point Plus is a specialized door-to-door transportation service available to individuals living in the City of Stevens Point and the Village of Whiting who qualify under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
The service provides transportation opportunities to doctor appointments, shopping, work, hair appointments, or to just visit a friend- it is not limited to medical appointments only.
The Point Plus Service requires reservations by calling no later than 6:00 pm the night before service is needed. Requests for same day trips are accepted but must be made by 9:30 am. Reservations can be made up to one month in advance.
Individuals interested in using this special service need to fill out an application and must meet the ADA criteria.
Hours of Operation
When UW-SP is in session:
- Monday - Friday, 6:45 am - 6:30 pm
- Saturday, 11:15 am - 4:30 pm
When UW-SP is not in session:
- Monday - Friday, 6:45 am - 5:15 pm
Fare
The Point Plus fare is $2 for a one-way trip.
