The City's recycling and yard waste drop-off site is for residential, non-commercial use only.

  • April 15 - October 15
    Tuesday & Thursday 
    1:00 pm - 7:00 pm;
    Saturday 
    9:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • October 16 - April 14
    Tuesday & Thursday 
    1:00 pm - 7:00 pm;
    Saturday 
    9:00 am - 4:00 pm

The drop-off is located one block north of the entrance to Bukolt Park, in front of the City Garage at 100 Sixth Ave.

Demolition Materials

Demolition materials are accepted the first Saturday of each month, for a fee.

Scrap Metal
Scrap metal is now accepted during drop-off hours. Residents may drop off bikes, dryers, water heaters, lawn mowers, most scrap metal, steel or copper pipe, stoves, and washers. We cannot take microwaves as scrap metal.

July 4 (Week of July 2-7) Garbage & Recycling Schedule
We will collect Tuesday's garbage route & recycling route #2 on Monday, July 2. We'll collect Wednesday's garbage route & recycling route #4 on Tuesday, July 3. There will be no collection on Wednesday, July 4. There are no other changes to the schedule.
Curbside Compost Collection Program
Rising Sand Organics will pick up 5 gallon buckets of food waste that households & businesses leave at the curb. They'll swap full buckets for a clean, empty ones. The buckets have screw-top lids that seal in odors & allow for easy handling & cleaning. Read More
