Snow & Ice
Snow and Ice Removal
The City Municipal Code of Ordinances Chapter 16.06(2) and State Statute 66.0907(5) both require property owners to keep sidewalks clear of snow and ice for the safety of all in our community who use sidewalks during the winter.

If City Inspectors determine a sidewalk is unsafe, they may have it treated by a contractor and bill those charges (including a service fee) to the property owner. Unpaid bills will be added to the property taxes.

Text & Email Notifications for Sidewalk Snow Removal
City residents and other City property owners can subscribe to our text and/or email reminder service to be notified of measurable snowfalls or ice events that require removal of snow or ice from sidewalks.
