2. Request for car cruise - Stevens Point
Classic Car Show.
The requestor, Dave Suchon advised that they have come up with people to help out in the car cruise. They have
seven to eight off-duty firemen and about five volunteers helping out in the car cruise. The parade route is being
extended this year all the way to North Point Drive, then west on North Point Drive and south to Division Street
North. The parade will start at 6:30 P.M.
in Plover and will take about twenty-five to thirty minutes to get through the intersections. There were one hundred
eighty-five cars last year and the same number of cars is predicted to be in attendance again this year, depending
on the weather.
Police Captain Dowling stated that Mr. Suchon's request was reviewed with the Police Chief. The Police Department
was aware that Mr. Suchon was getting extra assistance from off-duty firemen. The Police Department feels that
if the City can get two deputy sheriffs to assist in the city, for safety reasons, there would not be any problems.

cruise on Friday, June 25, 1999.
Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried
