JOINT CITY PLAN COMMISSION AND
FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING
Monday, May 14, 2001 - 7:30 P.M.
City Water Department - 300 Bliss Avenue


PRESENT: Mayor Wescott, Alderman Rackow, Commissioners Flood, Steffen

Excused: Commissioners Feldman, Hoppen, Zabel

Present: Chairman Barr, Alderpersons Rackow, Molski, Nealis, Phillips

Also Present: Alderpersons Walther, Filipiak, Seiser, Sowieja, Moore; C/T Schlice, City Attorney Molepske, Clerk Zdroik, Directors Disher, Gardner, Schrader, Van Alstine

1. Adjourn into Closed Session pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 19.85(1)(e) for the purpose of negotiating the sale of City of Stevens Point’s interest in the CenterPoint Ltd. Partnership (CenterPoint Mall Corporation) to the Dial Corporation (approximately 20 minutes).

City Plan Commission
Commissioner Flood moved, Commissioner Steffen seconded, to adjourn into closed session.

Roll Call: Ayes: Mayor Wescott, Alderman Rackow, Commissioners Steffen, Flood
Nays: None. Motion carried.

Finance Committee
Alderman Phillips moved, Chairman Barr seconded, to adjourn into closed session.

Roll Call: Ayes: Chairman Barr, Alderpersons Rackow, Molski, Nealis, Phillips
Nays: None. Motion carried.

City Plan Commission
Commissioner Flood moved, Commission Steffen seconded, to reconvene into open session.

Roll Call : Ayes: Mayor Wescott, Alderman Rackow, Commissioners Steffen, Flood.
Nays: None. Motion carried.

Finance Committee
Chairman Barr moved, Ald. Rackow seconded, to reconvene into open session.

Roll Call: Ayes: Chairman Barr, Alderpersons, Rackow, Molski, Nealis, Phillips
Nays: None. Motion carried.

2. Reconvene into open session on action on the above.

Commissioner Steffen moved, Commissioner Flood seconded, that the City Plan Commission recommend the City release the reversionary real estate interest and approve the transfer of the CenterPoint Mall from CenterPoint Ltd. Partnership to the Dial Corporation.

Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried.

Ald. Barr moved, Ald. Rackow seconded, that the Finance Committee approve the relinquishment of the real estate reverter provision, approve the transfer of the CenterPoint Mall from CenterPoint Ltd. Partnership to the Dial Corporation including the City’s acceptance of the 19% partnership position, and direct the City Attorney to review the documents to eliminate City obligations.

Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried.

3. Adjournment - 7:50 P.M.
