Ald. Molski moved, Ald. Phillips seconded, to approve the transfer of the "Class B" Beer and Liquor license
from Joe Mama's Catering, Inc., 5110 Main Street, formerly known as Alexander's Restaurant & Lounge, to Diane
M. Aldrich, 5110 Main Street, now known as Jo Jo's Bar, effective April 17, 2002.

BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS - RESPONSIBLE FOR: Streets, bridges, cemeteries, railroads,weeds, storm and sanitary sewer,
sidewalks, solid waste collection and disposal, public buildings, public ground, parking lots, airport, and parking
meters.

Ald. Barr moved, Ald. Seiser seconded, for confirmation of the appointments.
Roll Call: Ayes: All.
Nays: None. Motion carried.
5. Nomination and election
of President of the Council.
Mayor Wescott reminded members of the Council of the importance of the position of Council President. By state
statute, if something would happen to the Mayor and he/she is physically unable to discharge the duties of the
Mayor, the Council President serves as the acting Mayor.
Ald. Sevenich nominated Ald. Rackow.
Ald. Nealis nominated Ald. Phillips.
There being no further nominations, Mayor Wescott declared the nominations closed.
Ballots were distributed and after counting the ballots, it ended in tie votes with Ald. Rackow getting five votes
and Ald. Phillips getting the same number of votes.
Ballots were distributed the second time and after counting the ballots, it ended in tie votes again.
With the alderpersons' approval, Mayor Wescott and Comptroller-Treasurer Schlice opted to flip a coin where it
was decided that Alderman Phillips will be next council president.
6. Adjournment - 6:12 P.M.
