2. Salute to the flag and Mayor's
opening remarks.
Mayor Wescott thanked the City Clerk's office and all the pollworkers for their hard work on election day. There
was a lot of planning and preparation put into this election.
Mayor Wescott shared a story of Fire Fighter/Paramedic Brian Spence who is also a member of the Army National Guard.
While serving on active duty, Fire Fighter/Paramedic Spence realized the Stevens Point Fire Department was providing
a number of more significant pre-hospital medical procedures than the United States Army. Fire Fighter/Paramedic
Spence offered to bring them up to speed on a number of procedures with the most significant being the RSI. RSI
is the process used to support and improve the respiratory status of trauma. Spence is now serving in Iraq.
3. Approval of the minutes
of the Regular Common Council meeting of October 18, 2004.
Ald. Barr moved, Ald. Stroik seconded, for approval of the Common Council minutes of October 18, 2004.

4. Persons who wish to address
the mayor and council on specific agenda items other than a "Public Hearing" must register their request
at this time. Those who wish to address the Common Council during a "Public Hearing" are not required
to identify themselves until the "Public Hearing" is declared open by the Mayor.

5. Plan Commission meeting
of October 25, 2004.
Ald. Sowieja moved, Ald. Markham seconded, for approval of the Plan Commission minutes of October 25, 2004.

6. Public Protection Committee meeting of November 8, 2004.
Ald. Rackow moved, Ald. Wiza seconded, for approval of the Public Protection Committee minutes of November 8, 2004.
Ald. Rackow reported the deer culling process is going well. 52 out of the total 65 deer were already culled.

7. Ordinance amendment –
Applications for Operator's License.
Ald. Rackow moved, Ald. Walther seconded, for adoption of the ordinance.
14. Letter of Agreement
- Stevens Point Police Officers Organization.
Ald. Molski moved, Ald. Stroik seconded, to authorize the Mayor to execute the Letter of Agreement between the
City of Stevens Point and Stevens Point Police Officers Organization.
15. Board of Water and Sewage
Commissioners meeting of November 8, 2004.
Ald. Rackow moved, Ald. Markham seconded, for approval of the Board of Water and Sewage Commissioners minutes of
November 8, 2004.
Ald. Sowieja asked if the Marshfield Clinic made a decision on the UV equipment research project for the City of
Stevens Point?
Director Halverson said if Wausau's Council does not approve the funding for the changes in Wausau, the City of
Stevens Point would be considered for the project. If the city were to purchase the equipment before the project,
we would be in for sure.
Ald. Wiza would like to know the names of the 14 communities that were chosen for the project.
Director Halverson will provide a list of the communities to the alderperson.
Ald. Wiza would like more information on the visit to the Portage County jail and the University regarding the
disposal of their waste products.
Director Halverson said in the food service area, both were not scraping the trays properly.
Ald. Rackow noted regarding the UV equipment, there is a good chance this technology will be required in the future.

2004.
Statutory monthly financial report of the Comptroller-Treasurer.
Transportation Commission meeting of October 20, 2004.
Ald. moved, Ald. seconded, to accept the reports
and place them on file.
Ald. Walther gave a brief update on the UWSP U-Pass program.
