Finance Committee Minutes

Motion made by Ald. Rackow, seconded by Ald. Molski
to accept the report and place it on file.

2) RESOLUTION DESIGNATING
AUTHORIZED DEPOSITORIES
C/T Schlice stated that every year we request financial documents from the banks which he reviews prior to listing
them as an authorized depository. We typically update the list every couple of years.
Ald. Molski questioned if we were using all of these banks.
C/T Schlice replied no, but if we need them, they are available with this resolution.
Motion made by Ald. Phillips, seconded by Ald. Walther to approve the resolution designating authorized depositories.
Ayes: All Nays: None Motion carried.
3) AUTHORIZATION TO NEGOTIATE
THE PURCHASE AND OBTAIN AN APPRAISAL ON 2415 BUSH STREET
C/T Schlice stated that this is the last piece of property in the Morton Park area that we needed to acquire for
the Parks project. The Parks Committee has already approved this.
Motion made by Ald. Rackow, seconded by Ald. Barr to authorize staff to negotiate the price and obtain an appraisal
of 2416 Bush Street.
Ayes: All Nays: None Motion carried.
4) CONSIDERATION OF CLAIM
- JOYCE DEKAY
C/T Schlice stated that Sentry has recommended denial of the claim.
Motion made by Ald. Phillips, seconded by Ald. Walther to deny the claim.
Ayes: All Nays: None Motion carried.
5) FUNDING FOR PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES FOR SITE CLOSURE - MUNICIPAL GARAGE
C/T Schlice stated that this was approved by Board of Public Works and that we would recoup some of the money from
the cleanup fund. Estimated cost would be $11,700.
Motion made by Ald. Molski, seconded by Ald. Rackow to approve the funding for professional services for site closure
at the municipal garage with an estimated cost of $11,700.
Ayes: All Nays: None Motion carried.
6) APPROVAL OF PAYMENT OF
CLAIMS
Motion made by Ald. Rackow, seconded by Ald. Barr to accept the payment of claims in the amount of $138,280.95.
Ayes: All Nays: None Motion carried.
