1 - ASSESSOR'S REPORT
Motion made by Ald. Rackow, seconded by Ald. Molski to approve the report of the Assessor and place it on file.
Ayes: All Nays: None Motion carried.
2 - CONSIDERATION OF CLAIMS.
A. WALTER CORDY B. GARY WADE
C/T Schlice stated that Sentry Insurance has recommended denial.
Motion made by Ald. Rackow, seconded by Ald. Barr to deny the consideration of claim made by Walter Cordy.
Ald.. Rackow commented that the deadline for disallowance is November 21st.
Ayes: All Nays: None Motion carried.
C/T Schlice stated that the claim from Gary Wade will not be on the regular Council agenda because of a timeline
of 120 days and there was some delays with the attorney representing the Wades. It will be addressed at a Special
Council meeting tonight because immediate action is needed on it. Sentry Insurance is also recommending denial
of this claim.
Motion made by Ald. Molski, seconded by Ald. Rackow to deny the consideration of claim made by Gary Wade.
Ald. Rackow stated that in both of these cases, the purpose is to apply it to their own insurance.

3 - ABATEMENT OF A PUBLIC
NUISANCE - 1733 ELLIS STREET
C/T Schlice stated there has been complaints on the property that the siding has never been put on and is disruptive
to the neighborhood. We would use Police Powers to order the siding to be installed and then charge it back against
the property as a special charge this year on the tax bill.
Motion made by Ald. Barr, seconded by Ald. Rackow to approve using Police Powers to order the siding be installed
on 1733 Ellis Street and then charge it to the property as a special charge on this years tax bill.
Mayor Wescott questioned what the total was for the project.
C/T Schlice stated the cost is $8,208.00.
Ald. Sowieja questioned if there was competing bids on this.
C/T Schlice stated that this was a contract with CAP, so there was not bids done by the City. The quote is from
the contractor that started the project.
Ald.. Wiza stated that he drove by the property and agreed that something needed to be done with it and questioned
how long it has been like this.
Director Gardner stated that it has been in excess of three years.
Ald. Rackow stated that he would add a year to that.
Ald. Molski questioned if this was started under CAP as a rehabilitation loan and whether or not other things had
been done to the house.
Director Gardner stated that yes, it was started under CAP and that there was other improvements done to the house
and that the money had run out.

4 - RECOMMENDATION FROM BOARD
OF PUBLIC WORKS - SOUTHSIDE HAZARD ELIMINATION PROJECT
C/T Schlice stated that this is before the Finance Committee because of the funding for the utility work. Approval
is needed in order to put it on the borrowing list for 2005.
Motion made by Ald. Rackow, seconded by Ald. Barr to approve the borrowing in 2005 for the infrastructure portion
of the Southside Hazard Elimination Project.
Ayes: All Nays: None Motion carried.
5 - ROOM TAX REPORT - 2ND
QUARTER 2004
C/T Schlice stated that we are still tracking close to where we projected and by the end of the year, we should
be right where we estimated we would be.
Motion made by Ald. Moore, seconded by Ald. Barr to approve the 2nd quarter room tax report and place it on file.
Ayes: All Nays: None Motion carried.
6 - APPROVAL OF PAYMENT OF
CLAIMS
Motion made by Ald. Rackow, seconded by Ald. Molski to approve the payment of claims in the amount of $312,151.97.
Ayes: All Nays: None Motion carried.
