3. Approval of 2005 Seasonal
Employee Pay Rate Schedule
Schrader explained to Commissioners that hockey
referee had to be added to list and the basketball/volleyball employees had an increase of 50 cents per game, that
the last raise was in 2001 for these positions.
Markham requested an explanation on the Party-In-The-Park employee, and Hahner questioned the higher rate for some
employees such as lower for tennis and higher for lifeguards and Schrader said the Party-in-the Park employee programs
the entertainment for our Thursday afternoon at the square and Friday evenings at the bandshell, and in regards
to rate differences in employees, it's a matter of program cost and the availability of applicants; its much harder
getting lifeguards, etc. Aldinger noticed that instructors received a higher wage and that is because they teach
lessons.
Motion was made by Aldinger, seconded by Curtis to approve the 2005 Seasonal Employee Pay Rate Schedule.
Ayes; all, Nays; none. Motion carried.
4. Annual Status Report on
1997 Bike/Ped Plan
Hahner questioned if there is a Bike/Ped Committee
and Schrader said no. He will contact the Mayor to see if a committee can be set up and have someone from Plan
Commission, Public Works, and Parks to serve on this committee. Hahner and Glodosky volunteered to be on this committee.
Schrader said he has applied for four grants; Patch Street walkway, Green Circle tunnel under the tracks south
of Wisconsin Street, I39 overpass/underpass and Church Street overpass near Patch Street. The Church Street overpass
has been funded but we would prefer the funds be used for the Patch Street walkway as that one would get more usage
and is working with the WISDOT to see if the funds can be transferred to that project
5. Director's Report
There being no other business to come before the Commissioners, motion was made by Curtis, seconded by McDonald to adjourn at 6:45 p.m.
