1. Consideration with possible action of adjustment to the 2005 non-represented salary plan.
Mayor Wescott recommends a 2.5% adjustment to the
2005 non-represented salary plan. This recommendation is based on the inflation rate as well as area comparables.
Alderman Barber moved, Alderman Stroik seconded, all ayes, to approve increasing the 2005 non-represented salary
plan by 2.5%.
2. Consideration with possible
action of 2005 pay increase for the Adult Crossing Guards.
In his memo, Chief Morris is requesting the Adult
Crossing Guards receive the same increase afforded the other non-represented employees.
Alderman Stroik moved, Alderman Markham seconded, all ayes, to approve granting a 2.5% increase to the Adult Crossing
Guards effective January 1, 2005.
3. Request to hire one full
time and three part-time limited term employees at the airport.
As outlined in Director Euclide's memo, he is requesting
permission to hire one full time and three-part time employees at the Stevens Point Municipal Airport. This would
allow the airport to remain open during the period when the request for airport services is carried out. The anticipated
cost for the six-month period is $33,000 for salaries and $13,000 for benefits.
Alderman Stroik moved, Alderman Barber seconded, all ayes, to approve hiring one full time and three part-time
employees at the Stevens Point Municipal Airport for a period of six months with $33,000 allocated for salaries
and $13,000 for benefits.
4. Adjourn into closed session
(8:13 p.m.) pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(e) and (f) for:
A. Update on Bargaining.
B. Discussion regarding request for extended medical leave of absence.
Alderman Stroik moved, Chairman Molski seconded,
to adjourn into closed session.
Roll Call: Ayes: Chairman Molski, Alderpersons Markham, Stroik, Barber.
Nays: None. Motion carried.
5. Reconvene into open session
(8:28 p.m.) for possible action on:
B. Request for extended leave of absence.
Alderman Stroik moved, Alderman Markham seconded,
to reconvene into open session.
Roll Call: Ayes: Chairman Molski, Alderpersons Markham, Stroik, Barber.
Nays: None. Motion Carried.
Alderman Barber moved, Alderman Stroik seconded to approve an extension of the medical leave until January 5, 2005
at which time a medical certification along with a return to work date must be submitted to the Personnel Department.
Ayes all; nays none.
