Commissioner Schliehs moved, seconded by Commissioner Pazdernik, to adjourn into executive session.

Commissioner Pazdernik moved, seconded by Commissioner Schleihs, to approve the minutes of the July 26, 2004 meeting.

Commissioner Pazdernik moved, seconded by Commissioner Schleihs, to approve the confirmation of the July 2004 bills.
Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried.
7. Discussion, with possible
action, Police Department Strategic Planning
The Department would like to continue the strategic planning process that was initiated in 2002. This would be
done without engaging the services of another private sector consultant. The Chief will discuss with UWSP staff
options for administering and evaluating a three phase random citizen needs and satisfaction with police services
and delivery methods survey of Stevens Point. The different phases would be: the community at large, the Stevens
Point business community and all Stevens Point Police Department employees. The purpose of the survey is to establish
a base line for public opinion as well as identifying methods for completing ongoing updates.

Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion Carried.
