1. Amendment to the Subdivision Ordinance Regarding Lot Splits for Government Purposes

1. Amendment to the Subdivision
Ordinance Regarding Lot Splits for Government Purposes
Chairman Wescott stated the proposed wording will exempt government lot splits from the Subdivision Ordinance and
allow the CDA to divide their building to accommodate their remodeling project.
Fred Steffen moved, seconded by Ann Shannon, to recommend the Subdivision Ordinance be amended by adding the following
exception: "5) the city or its political subdivisions". Ayes all; Nays none; Motion carried.
2. Amendment of ROW Plat
for Southside Business Highway 51 - From Dixon Street to Monroe Street
Chairman Wescott reviewed the corrections and noted this is a housekeeping matter.
Fred Steffen moved, seconded by Lois Feldman, to recommend the ROW plat for southside Business Highway 51 from
Dixon Street to Monroe Street be amended as proposed to correct technical errors. Ayes all; Nays none; Motion carried.
3. Vacation of Tamarac Street
from CN Railroad to Wisconsin Street
4. Acquisition of Land for Cul-De-Sac
- Tamarac St. at CN Railroad
Chairman Wescott stated the Commissioners of Railroads has ordered closing the Tamarac Street railroad crossing.
The Dept. Of Public Works has suggested a cul-de-sac on the south side of the tracks. The attached maps show the
land acquisition necessary to create the cul-de-sac and the street vacation on the north side of the tracks with
the easement reserved for utilities. Staff recommends approval.
Karen Aldinger moved, seconded by Jeff Zabel, to recommend approval of: 1) vacation of Tamarac Street from the
Canadian National Railway to Wisconsin Street shown on the attached map, and 2) acquisition of land for a cul-de-sac
shown on the attached map. Ayes all; Nays none; Motion carried.
5. Sale of 1528 West Pearl
Street
Chairman Wescott stated the property was acquired using a State housing grant. The property was in poor condition
and the home was demolished. Habitat is no longer interested in developing the parcel and a neighbor is interested
in purchasing the property. Staff recommends approval of the sale to the neighbor. The sale proceeds will be deposited
with the housing program.
Dave Sowieja moved, seconded by Fred Steffen, to recommend approval of the sale of 1528 West Pearl Street. Ayes
all; Nays none; Motion carried.
