Comprehensive Planning

Chairman Wescott welcomed the representatives from the Town of Stockton and noted this is a momentous occasion with the city and Town of Stockton at the table together planning.
CITY PLAN COMMISSION:
1. Stevens Point Population Projection
John Gardner reviewed the Future Land Use Map 8.5 and noted the State has decreased their populations and those
estimates have changed our projected population to 29,610 in the year 2025.
Ch. Wescott moved, seconded by Fred Steffen, to adopt the Stevens Point Population Projection Chart for 2025. Ayes
all; Nays none; Motion carried.

COMMISSION:

Intergovernmental Cooperation
John Gardner discussed the Sewer Service Plan and
noted any updates would not happen until after the Comprehensive Plans are completed. He reviewed Map 8.7 providing
a general overview of the types of potential development to the east.
Discussion followed on the following:
The next joint meeting will he held on Monday, October
24 at 4:00 p.m. at the new Stockton Town Hall.
Meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
