3. Request to Show Movies
in Park (First Assembly of God)
Schrader acknowledged an Application from the First
Assembly of God requesting permission to show family movies in the park. They would like to show the movies in
Iverson, Pfiffner or Mead, depending on which parks don't have activities already scheduled for the park. He pointed
out a list enclosed with the movies, times and park locations and their priorities. He also stated that the movies
will be shown on a self contained mobile unit. They have located areas, in the park where the unit can be placed
on granite parking areas; that eliminates driving on the lawn with the unit.
Moore asked where the sites are and Schrader pointed them out on a map enclosed in the packet.
McDonald wondered about the music in the park and Schrader said it is allowed if open to the public, with Commission
approval. She also felt that Pfiffner would not be a good choice as it would be too close to the Lodge.
Wiza suggested that they use the Bandshell, when it is available and some dates were changed to accommodate that
suggestion.
Hall questioned the time listed and they agreed to 5:00 - 11:00 pm.
Will Seitz stated that they need time to set up the equipment and they would put on a play before the movies. They
would be out of the park by 11:00p.m.
Motion was made by Curtis, seconded by Wiza to approve the first choices except for the June 25th and August 13th
dates as those dates are taken at the Bandshell. The July 9th and Sept. 24th dates will be at the Bandshell instead
of in Pfiffner Pioneer Park, to show movies in the park as per their application. Director Schrader will finalize
the location in Iverson and Mead Parks.
Ayes; all, Nays; none. Motion carried.
4. Director's Report
There being no other business to come before the
Commission, Motion was made by Wiza, seconded by Glodosky to adjourn at 6:45p.m.
