Police & Fire Commission
February 15, 2005, 4:31 p.m.

Roll Call: Commissioners Meyer, Pazdernik, Schleihs and Taylor

Commissioner Judy, excused

Also Present: Police Chief Jeff Morris, Fire Chief Mark Barnes, Mayor Gary Wescott, Alderman Jack Barr, Firefighter/Paramedic Dennis Zvara, Firefighter/Paramedic Ryan McCaffrey, Roger Trzebiatowski, Kayla Klish and Greg Klish

2. People to be heard and announcements

None.

3. Adjourn into executive session (approximately 4:30 p.m.) pursuant to Wis. Stats. ss. 19.85(1) (c) and (e) for the following:

Commissioner Schleihs moved, seconded by Commissioner Taylor, to adjourn into executive session.

Roll call: Ayes: Commissioners Meyer, Pazdernik, Schleihs and Taylor
Nays: None. Motion carried.

4. Reconvene into open session (approximately 4:45 p.m.) for possible action on Item Number 3(a).

Commissioner Pazdernik moved, seconded by Commissioner Schleihs, to reconvene into open session.

Roll call: Ayes: Commissioners Meyer, Pazdernik, Schleihs and Taylor
Nays: None. Motion carried.

Commissioner Schleihs moved, seconded by Commissioner Taylor to approve probationary Firefighter/Paramedic Ryan McCaffrey to regular status.

Roll call: Ayes: Commissioners Meyer, Pazdernik, Schleihs and Taylor
Nays: None. Motion carried.

5. Approval of Minutes

Commissioner Pazdernik moved, seconded by Commissioner Schleihs, to approve the minutes of the
January 11, 2005 meeting.

Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried.

6. Confirmation of Bills

Commissioner Taylor moved, seconded by Commissioner Schleihs, to accept the confirmation of the January 2005 bills.

Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried.

7. Police Chief's Report

Commissioner Taylor moved, seconded by Commissioner Schleihs, to approve the Police Chief's report for January 2005.

Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried.

8. Fire Chief's Report

Commissioner Taylor moved, seconded by Commissioner Schleihs, to approve the Fire Chief's report for January 2005.

Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried.

9. Discussion, with possible action, Fire Chief's request to extend the existing entry level hiring list until the PFC approves a new list

Commissioner Pazdernik moved, seconded by Commissioner Taylor, to approve the Fire Chief's request to extend the existing entry level hiring list until a new list is approved by the Commission.

Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried.

10. Adjournment

The meeting adjourned at 6:29 p.m.
