Roll Call: Commissioners Judy, Meyer, Schleihs and Taylor
Commissioner Pazdernik, excused
Also Present: Police Chief Morris, Fire Chief Barnes, Mayor Wescott
1. Adjourn into executive session
Commissioner Taylor moved, seconded by Commissioner Schleihs, to adjourn into executive session pursuant to sections
19.85(1)(b), (c) and (e), Wis. Stats. for the following:
a. Promotion to the rank of Sergeant within the Police Department
b. Promotion to the rank of Lieutenant with the Police Department
c. Firefighter/Paramedic applicant interviews.
d. Fire Department personnel issue
Ayes: Commissioners Judy, Meyer, Schleihs and Taylor
Nays: None. Motion carried.
2. Reconvene into open session
Commissioner Taylor moved, seconded by Commissioner Schleihs, to reconvene into open session for possible action
on item numbers 2(a), 2(b), 2(c) and 2(d).
Ayes: Commissioners Judy, Meyer, Schleihs and Taylor
Nays: None. Motion carried.
a. Promotion to the rank of Sergeant within the Police Department
Commissioner Taylor moved, seconded by Commissioner
Meyer, to approve Tim Davy to the rank of probationary police sergeant within the Police Department.
Ayes: Commissioners Judy, Meyer, Schleihs and Taylor
Nays: None. Motion carried.
b. Promotion to the rank of Lieutenant with the Police Department
Commissioner Taylor moved, seconded by Commissioner
Schleihs, to approve Ron Carlson to the rank of probationary police lieutenant within the Police Department
Ayes: Commissioners Judy, Meyer, Schleihs and Taylor
Nays: None. Motion carried.
c. Firefighter/Paramedic applicant interviews.
Commissioner Schleihs moved, seconded by Commissioner
Meyer, to approve five firefighter/paramedic applicants to the Fire Department eligibility list subject to the
completion of all department and city hiring eligibility requirements for the position of firefighter/paramedic.
The Fire Chief will determine the ranking list of the firefighter/paramedic applicants.
Ayes: Commissioners Judy, Meyer, Schleihs and Taylor
Nays: None. Motion carried.
d. Fire Department personnel issue
No action taken.
3. Adjournment
