2. Request for a one-day extension of liquor premises:

A. Hilltop Pub and Grill (Annual Anniversary Party) on Monday, August 1, 2005.
B. Partner's Pub (UW-SP Homecoming) on Saturday, October 8, 2005.

Lars Smith, Hilltop's General Manager, stated this is the 22nd annual anniversary party. They will use the same format that was used in previous years. There will be a live band from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Captain Dowling believes in past years, the event at the Hilltop Pub and Grill ended at 10:00 p.m.

Captain Dowling said Partner's Pub provides their own security. Several years ago, the Police Department reduced the number of contractual police officers to only one officer. This year, Captain Dowling would request that two contractual officers be required for the event.

Jeff Moffat, owner of Partner's Pub, agrees to contract two Stevens Point Police Officers for the event. There were not any problems on their premises last year but there was a party down the block.

Director Kim Halverson requests that the road to the well is not blocked by vehicles parking for the Hilltop Anniversary party.

Ald. Stroik moved, Ald. Trzebiatowski seconded, for approval of the requests for one-day extension of liquor premises for Hilltop Pub and Grill on Monday, August 1, 2005 and Partner's Pub on Saturday, October 8, 2005, with the additions that two contractual officers be hired for the Partner's Pub event and the Water Department's request not to block the drive to the well during the Hilltop's anniversary party.

Ald. Sevenich clarified that they will cross at Crosby Avenue and Centerpoint Drive. The alderperson asked Ms. McDonald if they need help crossing at this intersection.

Liz McDonald would like a police officer at Crosby Avenue and Centerpoint Drive for the first 15 minutes of the walk.
