Mayor Wescott presented the December 2004 Parking
Meter Report.
C/T Schlice moved, seconded by Alderperson Barr to accept the December 2004 Parking Meter Report and place it on
file.
Ayes all; Nays none; Motion carried.
2. CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL
OF QUOTES- PARKS DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT: (ATTACHMENT)
A) MOWERS
B) TURF SWEEPER
C) BALL DIAMOND GROOMER
Mayor Wescott referred to the memo from Fleet Maintenance
Supervisor Dennis Laidlaw and Parks Manager Scott Halverson regarding the items listed above saying the recommended
quotes are: Five Toro Mowers from Reinders for $97,029.06; one Smithco Turf Sweeper from Horst Distributing for
$16,750.00; and one Smithco Ball Diamond Groomer from Horst Distributing for $10,395.00.
The memo says they are within budget and approval is recommended.
Mayor Wescott moved, seconded by Alderperson Walther to approve the quotes as presented - Five Toro Mowers from
Reinders for $97,029.06; one Smithco Turf Sweeper from Horst Distributing for $16,750.00; and one Smithco Ball
Diamond Groomer from Horst Distributing for $10,395.00.
Ayes all; Nays none; Motion carried.
3. CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL
OF QUOTES - POLICE DEPARTMENT SQUAD CARS (ATTACHMENT)
Mayor Wescott referred to the memo from
Fleet Maintenance Supervisor Dennis Laidlaw and Police Chief Jeff Morris.
Director Euclide said he recommended approval of the quote of $169,192.00 for the purchase of eight Police Department
squad cars from Scaffidi Motors, he said the price per vehicle is lower than the price two-years ago and it is
within budget.
The Mayor commended Supervisor Laidlaw and Chief Morris for securing such a good deal and he asked when the vehicles
would be here.
Chief Morris said it would take eight to ten weeks for delivery.
C/T Schlice moved, seconded by Alderperson Stroik to approve the quote of $169,192.00 for the purchase of eight
Police Department squad cars from Scaffidi Motors.
Ayes all; Nays none; Motion carried.
4. DIRECTOR'S REPORT (ATTACHMENT)

Director Euclide presented his report.
Mayor Wescott said Director Euclide is about 98% finished putting the Airport Request for Proposals together and
they will be distributed to the Alderpersons for review after the City Attorney has a chance to examine them.
Mayor Wescott moved, seconded by Alderperson Stroik to accept the Director's Report and place it on file.
Ayes all; Nays none; Motion carried.
