for Americans with Disabilities Act

1. Approval of minutes from November 8, 2004 ADA Committee meeting.
Ramona Varney moved to approve the minutes from
the ADA Advisory Committee meeting of November 8, 2004. Leone Bruski seconded the motion.
Ayes all; Nays None; Motion Carried
2. Welcome and introduction
of new ADA Advisory Committee Member, Joe Kanter.
Manager Lemke introduced and welcomed Joe Kanter
to the ADA Advisory Committee.
3. Review of Applications
for Point Plus Service.
Twenty new Point Plus applications were approved
since the last meeting. All applicants were eligible for service, no applicants were denied service.
4. Update on Transit Issues:
Year End revenue and ridership report
The annual ridership numbers for 2004 were as follows:
Point Plus was down 921 rides or 10.3% from 2003, the Fixed Route service increased ridership by 17,178 rides or 19.1% over 2003. Transfers were down 4623 or 22.5% from 2003. The overall system ridership increased 11,634 rides or 9.7%.
Revenue generated in 2004 was $113,292 vs. $68,078
in 2003.
University Project Update
Manager Lemke reported that the university U-pass project is going extremely well. University ridership is steadily increasing. The university has signed an agreement for another year of service.
Point Plus Brochure
The new Point Plus Brochure has been developed and
is being distributed through out the community.
5. Review and approval of
revised Transportation Advisory Committee for ADA Bi-Laws.
The committee reviewed.
6.
ADA Committee Member term review. Distribution of revised page 6.5 of the ADA plan.
Section 6.5 of the ADA plan was distributed to all
members.
7. Next meeting date.
The tentative next meeting date is July 18, 2005.
8. Adjournment.
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 12:00
p.m.
