1. REVIEW OF 2008 PROPOSED BUDGET.
Mayor Halverson and C/T Schlice reviewed the attached PowerPoint
presentation (150
KB File requires free PowerPoint Viewer)
which outlines the budget and policy changes
for 2008 and projected changes for 2009.
After the budget presentation there was a number of questions in regards to some of the changes that are being
proposed for the upcoming budget.
C/T Schlice stated any changes to the budget that happen between now and the final adoption of the budget on Nov.
19 will be given to the aldermen prior to final adoption.
The levy limit we are at is the maximum limit we are allowed by current law.
Motion by Ald. Stroik, seconded by Ald. Molski to recommend to the Common Council a 2008 tax levy of $11,938,963.
Ayes: All Nays: None Motion carried.
