2. People to be heard and announcements
Alderperson George Hanson distributed a copy of
the EMS Oversight Board Meeting agenda for August 16, 2007.
President Schleihs will serve notice to the Oversight Committee requesting the PFC receive the committee's monthly
agenda. The Commission felt it would be beneficial to take turns attending the monthly Oversight Board Meetings.
3. Approval of Minutes -
July 10, 2007 and August 7, 2007
Commissioner Nuck moved, seconded by Commissioner Taylor, to approve the minutes of the July 10, 2007
meeting.
Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried.
Commissioner Rice moved, seconded by Commissioner Nuck, to approve the minutes of the August 7, 2007
special meeting.
Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried.
4. Confirmation of Bills
Commissioner Nuck moved, seconded by Commissioner Rice, to accept the confirmation of the July 2007 bills.
Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried.
5. Fire Chief's Report
Chief Barnes reported:

Nuck, to accept the Fire Chief's Report for July 2007.
Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried
6. Police Chief's Report
Chief Morris reported:

Rice, to approve the Police Chief's report for July, 2007.
Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried
7. Consideration of resolution
opposing provision of budget bill at sections 2666f and 2679i which would reduce local citizen control over Police
and Fire Personnel through non-partisan Police and Fire Commissions
Commissioner Rice moved, seconded by Commissioner Taylor to support the resolution opposing a provision of the
budget bill at sections 2666f and 2679i which would reduce local citizen control over Police and Fire personnel
through non-partisan Police and Fire Commissions.
A resolution will be sent to the Senator, Assemblyman, Governor and to the Common Council for consideration.
Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried.
8. Donation - Police Department
Commissioner Nuck moved, seconded by Commissioner Taylor, to approve a $50.00 donation from the Stevens Point Noon
Lions Club to the safety cadet program.
Ayes, all; nays, none. Motion carried.
