Present: Ald. Stroik, Ald. Trzebiatowski, Ald. Slowinski.

Absent: Ald. Heart.

Also Present: Mayor Halverson, Clerk Moe, C/T Schlice, City Attorney Molepske, Ald. Walther, Ald. Hanson, Ald. Wiza, Ald. Molski, Ald. Myers Sr., Ald. Moore, Chief Morris, Director Gardner, Richard Horst.

1. Recommendation on license list:

A. New and Renewal Operator's (Bartenders) Licenses.

Ald. Trzebiatowski moved, second by Ald. Slowinski to approve the 14 New one-year and 29 Renewal two-year Operator's (Bartenders) Licenses. Ayes, all; nays, none; motion carried.

B. New "Class B" Combination Beer and Liquor for Richard W. Horst, Jr. 1200 River View Avenue, #16, Stevens Point, WI at JR's Bar and Grill, 200 Isadore Street, Stevens Point, WI 54481 (both levels of building and outside deck) (formerly Johnny T's Tropicana).

Richard Horst said that he tried to get together with the Police Chief, but was not able to due to work.

Ald. Stroik noted the letter from Chief Morris and the concerns of the Police Department. He also noted that Horst did not contact the chief until 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Ald. Trzebiatowski stated he thought the Committee requested that Mr. Horst make contact with the Chief by mid-week.

Ald. Wiza raised concern about Mr. Horst's ability to put the necessary time into this business endeavor.

Ald. Trzebiatowski moved, seconded by Ald. Stroik to deny Mr. Horst's request for a "Class B" Combination Beer and Liquor License at 200 Isadore Street at this time. Ayes, all; nays, none; motion carried.

2. Request for a one-day extension of liquor premises for the Hilltop Pub and Grill (Annual Anniversary Party) on Monday, August 6, 2007.

Ald. Slowinski moved, second by Ald. Trzebiatowski to approve the request for a one-day extension of liquor premises for the Hilltop Pub and Grill on Monday, August 6, 2007, with the condition of receiving a letter from the new management team (from La Quinta Hotel). Ayes, all; nays, none; motion carried.
