4.
Adjournment
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. with
all members except Greg Disher present.
1. The minutes of the December 13, 2006
meeting were approved.
2. The committee reviewed each proposal that had been submitted. Questions the committee had about
each were recorded. Tom/John will get the questions to the appropriate proposal representative along with a hearing
schedule as soon as possible.
We determined that two of the proposals did not meet the criteria or intent of the granting process. Tom/John will
communicate with those proposal representatives and explain. Those representatives will not be given a hearing
time.
We had a short discussion on whether or not the committee's recommendations were limited to the proposals made.
The general feeling seemed to be that are mission is to recommend the best use of the room tax revenues to the
Park Board and the Common Council. Because we are advisory, we have latitude in shaping a creative set of recommendations
3. It was noted that the committee should block out at least 2 hours on the 14th and 15th of March
for the hearings which will begin each evening at 7 p.m. in the Rec Center meeting room.
We reviewed the rating/ranking sheet we will use
in our evaluation process. We will be asking each committee member to rank/rate each proposal after the hearings
and get their sheet back to Tom before March 22. That will give us time to create a group response sheet that will
inform the beginning of our deliberations on March 28.
4. We adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
