2. Consideration/Action for
Traffic Study #TS-13-07; for the following streets or portions thereof to be painted with bicycle lanes: (Attachment)
Director Euclide started off; the reason this was
put on the agenda was for the Police Department to be able to enforce the State Regulations and rules that are
associated with having dedicated bike lanes.
Alderperson Trzebiatowski said he received a number of comments regarding the lines that are already painted on
the roads but asked about the separation of lanes and how this will work with parking inside of the bike lanes.
Director Euclide answered; this is the specific design that is approved by the State and this is the appropriate
way to have the lines on the road for bike lanes and parking alike.
Mayor Halverson mentioned that we will be seeing more bike lanes over time as we work on our sidewalk infill program
and reassess other streets that haven't been analyzed yet for width.
Alderperson Heart moved, seconded by Alderperson Stroik to accept the streets or portions of the streets listed
above to be painted with bicycle lanes.
Ayes all; nays none; motion carried.
3. Consideration/Action for
Traffic Study #TS-14-07; for the following parking restrictions to be amended: (Attachment)

by the University and they will be providing the posts so the City can put the No Parking signs up.
Alderperson Wiza expressed his thoughts on parking around the University and asked who is responsible for removing
the lines that are currently in place for parking. Director Euclide responded; we are responsible for the lines
and the plan is to fill in the lines with black.
Alderperson Walther moved, seconded by Alderperson Stroik to accept the parking restrictions listed above to be
amended.
Ayes all; nays none; motion carried.
4. Consideration/Action for
the Airport Manager's Report: (Attachment)
The new Airport Manager Corey Marschke stood before us to let us know how things were going so far at the airport.
He said they have everything moved out of the temporary location and are in the new terminal. As of today they're
working all their day-to-day operations out of the new terminal building. Traffic has been a little slow due to
inclement weather we have been having. He thanked the City Streets Crew for the snow removal and taking care of
the patchy ice, right now the runways and tarmac areas are in great shape. ILS Update, the soil boring was completed
on January 7, 2008. The local corporations and tenants have been using the airport. He feels it will be a nice
place where people can come in, sit down, watch traffic and enjoy themselves.

Ayes all; nays none; motion carried.
