The winter sports facilities are located in scenic
Iverson Park,
the largest of Stevens Point's 21 city-owned parks.
The Winter Sports Area consists of:
Tracked and groomed 2.5 mile cross-country ski
trail
Two 300 ft. long toboggan slides
Four sled and saucer hills
One hill specifically designated for children 6
years of age and younger
One lighted recreational ice skating rink
NO snowboards allowed on the saucer/sled hills.
Air-filled devices (tubes) will be allowed on the
saucer/sled hills as of January 1, 2008.
Stairs have been built into the sides of the saucer/sled hills so it is easier to get back to the top!
All areas are lighted
for night use with the exception of the
ski trails. The Stevens Point Parks and Recreation Department provides staff during public hours.
Our spacious, ADA accessible warming house facility
provides a place to escape and thaw out from Winter's chilly, blustery winds. Snack and soda machines are provided
along with a kitchen where we offer:
Hot Chocolate $.50 cup
Hamburgers $2
Hot Dogs $2
Sorry, no food or beverage carry-ins during public
hours.
