Domestic Crisis Information
If you have ever asked yourself any of the following
questions:
- What is domestic abuse?
- What can I do if I'm being abused?
- What if I know someone who is being abused?
- Where can I go for help?
- Am I a victim of domestic abuse?
The Family
Crisis Center is a place to contact for help
in answering those questions.
Confidential services are provided 24 hours a day by a team of professional staff.
CAP Services' Family Crisis Center provides the
following services:
- Temporary shelter for victims of domestic abuse
and their children
- 24-hour telephone toll-free hotline
- Walk-in crisis counseling
- Assistance with application for temporary restraining
orders
- Support groups for women and children in domestic
abuse situations
- Transitional living program offering short term,
affordable housing to victims leaving shelter
- Referrals to other agencies for longer-term services
- 20 week Domestic Abuse Alternatives Program for
the male abuser
There are no costs for any of the services with
the exception of the Domestic Abuse Alternatives Program.
The Family Crisis Center also provides Adolescent
Crisis Services and services for victims of Sexual Abuse. These services include the following:
Adolescent Services
- Temporary shelter for youth runaways
- Temporary shelter, with parental permission, for
youth in crisis
- 24-hour telephone response
- Walk-in crisis counseling
- Referrals for youth to other supportive services
Sexual Abuse Victim Services
- 24-hour crisis line
- Assistance with application for temporary restraining
orders
- Support group for women who have experienced sexual
abuse/assault
- Supportive services for family and friends
- Information and referral services
- Accompaniment to, and support during, medical examinations
and legal proceedings
- Community educational presentations
