Access Tax Information for Specific Properties

If you'd like to know what the taxes are on any property in the City of Stevens Point, and whether or not payment for them has been received by the
Comptroller / Treasurer's Office, or if you'd like to compare one property's taxes to another property's, you can do that online instead of driving to or calling City Hall. When you enter text into the "Street" field, enter just the name (such as Main or Fourth) and not the type (such as Street, Avenue, or Drive). Look Up Property Tax Information.

Property Tax Payment Information

Tax bills are mailed on or around December 15th of each year. They will arrive in the same "self-mailer" that we've used in previous years. There are two options for paying your taxes:

1) You can either pay their real estate taxes in full by January 31, or

2) You can pay by using the installment option with due dates of January 31, April 30, and July 31. If you mail your payment, mail early to ensure the postmark is on or before the payment due date. Your payment will be considered timely if it has a postmark date on or before the payment due date (postage meter stamp date does not count) and it is received within 5 business days. Mark your calendar for tax payment due dates. No notices, other than the tax bill, will be sent. If you miss any payment, the entire unpaid tax balance will be delinquent and assessed a 1% per month interest charge from February 1.

Electronic Debit

The City of Stevens Point reserves the right to process your check electronically. When paying by check, please be aware that you are authorizing us to use information on your check to make a one-time electronic charge at the financial institution indicated on the check. This transaction will be for the amount of your check, and will appear on your bank statement as a withdrawal.

Multiple Tax Payments

To speed up service at our window, we request that those people with five or more tax bills mail in their payments. Thank you!
