Stevens Point Wastewater Treatment Plant

Roger Larson, Deputy Director of the Wisconsin
Department of Natural Resources Bureau of Watershed Management, has nominated the City of Stevens Point's Wastewater
Treatment Facility for a 2007 EPA Operation and Maintenance Award.
After its 2006 annual inspections, the City of Stevens Point Wastewater Treatment department received excellent
reviews from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. In their summary of the review, DNR staff said that
the city does "an excellent job of running the plant and maintaining equipment and buildings," and that
city staff are "very creative in coming up with ways to optimize treatment, reduce operating costs, and save
energy."
