What is a Lead Gooseneck?

• It is a flexible 18” piece of pipe that was installed pre 1930 to prevent the damage of water service lines due to the freeze / thaw cycle.
• In Stevens Point, the only possible lead pipes in out system would be these short goosenecks,
• Currently, less than 2% of our water services potentially have a lead gooseneck
