School Resource Officer

Responsibilities

School Resource Officers are assigned full-time to area schools. Their responsibilities include:

  • Assisting students with questions or concerns
  • Talking with classes on multiple topics including Internet safety, cyber bullying, driver's education, dating violence, drugs and alcohol issues, and vaping.
  • Responding to calls within the school for fights, disorderly students, thefts, threats, truancy, harassment, etc.
