Online Registration Now Open for Learn to Skate Fall Sessions

The Stevens Point Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department is happy to announce our Learn to Skate program will be offered this fall at the K.B. Willett Arena. Classes are open to all ages and abilities and begin on September 26, 2020.

Skaters can choose from Tuesday evening or Saturday morning classes. Our “Snow Plow Sam” introductory classes are designed for kids under six to build confidence while learning to skate and incorporate fun games to make class time an enjoyable experience for all. Basic level classes build on the courage and agility that comes with more time on the ice, and advanced classes are where our skaters take their skills to the next level! We are proud to partner with Learn to Skate USA and provide their proven skate curriculum, which is endorsed by US Figure Skating, USA Hockey, and US Speed Skating organizations.

Class descriptions and online registration are available through the City of Stevens Point Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department webpage or

Reduced class sizes and new safety procedures, along with increased cleaning routines, will be in place. Participants and parents are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these procedures before classes begin. Please review them at the time of registration or on the Learn to Skate webpage listed above.
