Stevens Point Parks & Rec Rolls Out Community Fitness Challenge

Stevens Point and other cities & towns across Wisconsin are hosting the first-ever “Be Active Wisconsin” Community Fitness Challenge and invite community members of all ages to participate in the virtual challenge.

Be Active Wisconsin is designed to promote active lifestyles, connect people to the outdoors by encouraging the use of our parks/trail systems, and engage Wisconsin communities in a friendly competition.

All active minutes count (not just running/walking), so get moving Stevens Point! The winning community will receive a trophy, and all paid participants receive a T-shirt. While there is a personal goal of 200 minutes a week to help motivate and to give you a goal to strive for, there are no requirements and no awards given for personal goals so that you can customize it based on your needs.

How it works:

  • Register at
  • Pay entry fee of 10$ per participant (registration open until March 14.)
  • Receive a challenge t-shirt
  • Support community wellness programming
  • Represent the Stevens Point Area, bring home the state trophy!

A link to a Google form will be emailed to all registered participants on March 1.

Get moving! Walk, run, bike, dance, ski, jump or swim your way to your active minutes goal each week. Log your active minutes each week by Monday morning at 10 am via the form. The first log on is March 8.

Watch for our community minute totals and challenge updates shared via our Facebook page

We want to get Point moving! Participate without registering for the community challenge using a fun, visual minutes tracker, the Be Active Wisconsin Coloring sheet located on our Facebook Page where we will also be highlighting fun activities that can be done within our Stevens Point Parks.

Let’s get moving!
