City of Stevens Point Mobile App is Updated

The City of Stevens Point first released its mobile app, available free from the App Store (for Apple iOS) and the Google Play Store (for Android), in 2016. The app has now been redesigned and re-released to keep up with advances in mobile technology.

Mobile App

The mobile app makes it extremely easy to find the most frequently requested information on the City's website, and that information is presented in a format that is easier to read on mobile devices with small screens. Our Meeting Agendas, Minutes, and Videos, Meeting Calendar, Contact Information, Department pages, News Stories, Ordinances, Payment portals, and more are quickly and easily accessible through the app.

Popular information like Garbage Collection Schedules, Parking, Property Searches, and information about Special Events like Riverfront Rendezvous is readily available by simply clicking an icon.

“In keeping with our goals of participation and transparency, the City has been working hard to make sure information is available to everyone through as many sources as possible, and this is just another example,” said Mayor Mike Wiza.

In 2011, the City of Stevens Point’s website, StevensPoint.com, was awarded a Gold Award of Communication Excellence from the International Academy of the Visual Arts. In March of 2016, it was awarded the ConnectWI Gold Level designation from the Wisconsin Women’s Council for transparency and easy online access to elected officials.

The mobile app is another valuable tool, in addition to our website, Facebook and Twitter Feeds, Cable TV channel, and Low Power FM Radio Station, that the City of Stevens Point will use in its continuing efforts to be open and transparent to its citizens.

To download the free app, just search for “Stevens Point” in the App Store or the Google Play Store and look for the app featuring the City's Logo.
