Absentee Voting & Sample Ballots for August 14 Primary Election  - Individuals who wish to vote early in the August 14 Partisan Primary may now vote in-person. Election Officials (Poll Workers) Wanted  - The City of Stevens Point is accepting applications from people interested in serving their community as poll workers. We anticipate high voter participation this fall and need to hire more poll workers to make sure the polling places run efficiently. Read More
Curbside Compost Collection Program  - Rising Sand Organics will pick up 5 gallon buckets of food waste that households & businesses leave at the curb. They'll swap full buckets for a clean, empty ones. The buckets have screw-top lids that seal in odors & allow for easy handling & cleaning. Read More
City of Stevens Point Street Tree Watering  - It has been hot and dry lately, and trees around Stevens Point are showing signs of stress (wilting or dropping leaves). Isadore St. Reconstruction Project to Begin Monday, July 9  - Crews will begin work on Isadore St. at the intersection with Portage, working north to Fourth. Work will then continue north towards Maria. Isadore will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the project, until late October, weather permitting.
Fourth of July F-16 Flyover, Pfiffner Park in Stevens Point  - The City received approval for a military flyover during the 4th of July City Band Concert. “This week’s City Band concert had a patriotic theme. It seemed appropriate to have the flyover during that time,” said Mayor Mike Wiza. See Video of the Flyover
Division St. & North Point Dr. Intersection Closed June 7 - Aug. 30  - American Asphalt closed the Division St. (Business 51) and North Point Dr. intersection on Thursday, June 7. Both ramps from I-39 to Division St. are closed. The closure is expected to last until August 30, 2018. Read More
